About Us

WELCOME TEACHERS & STUDENTS!  WE’RE HAPPY THAT YOU’VE JOINED US AND HOPE YOU’LL MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT TO HUMANWRITES.COM

www.Humanwrites.com started out as a broad based journaling site in 2001 for the  The questions again dealt with matters of the human condition and the premise was that regardless one’s country of origin, religious affiliation, or geopolitical persuasion, all our basis concerns for family, love, happiness were relatively common.  This observation came for a few years traveling the ME, .W.Europe, S.E.Asia, and so on.  As we reviewed the responses to the questions posed, it was realized that the older the respondents, the more thought/analysis/and life impacting interferences were tainting their responses.  However, it was noted that the responses from the younger visitors were more direct, more truthful, and often more compelling.  purpose of allowing people of all ages to voice an opinion on a list of questions posed on the site much like they are today.

And thus, the decision was made to take a different tack in steering the site toward the 5th-8th grade level students who we felt were old enough to have their own opinions on all the topics presented without much outside interference and cutting off the target group age range just prior to entering high school where a million and one pre-teen and teen age issues then became the focal point for their universe.

So it is that www.Humanwrites.com hopes to be the instrument to introduce these 5th-8th grade students on a global scale while their hearts and minds are still open to making new friend, learning from one another about one another, and developing a tolerance for the superficial differences that exist between us all while gaining a deep appreciation for all of their common qualities, aspirations, and values.

It may be too late to do much about transforming the mindsets of the adult populations making laws, ruling lands, and waging wars on this planet of our as it exists today.  But it is never too late to introduce our children to one another and have them realize that they are all residents of this same small blue stone swirling on the fringes of the Milky Way.  Tomorrow is in their hand and it is up to us adults (parents, teachers, and world leaders) to help our children learn from one another that they have nothing to fear from each other.  We adults can start with this group of children to teach the world that they chose peace over war, friendship over fighting and fear, and joy over sorrow and dread.

The 20th century was fraught with global conflicts of various kinds brought on by miscommunication, mistrust, and missed opportunities for solving global problems in a cooperative framework.  Today's technological advances that have given us the Internet, social networking, other such instantaneous means of reaching out to one another have provided the tools we need in this 21st century to defuse, dispel, and dissolve any and all misconceptions we might have about one another regardless how many miles separate us.  Humanwrites.com can be an effective tool towards positive change in international understanding.  It is a well-worn adage to suggest that the children are our future.  But, when you think about it, the future they have will be a function of the path we set them on.  So, their future is in our hands and knowledge is the key to helping them open the door to the brightest tomorrow.

Please join us at Humanwrites.com in broadening their view of the world around them as those they meet/greet as 5th-8th graders will be the adults the work with or compete with at some point down the road.  If the choice is friend or foe – I chose friend………….
